Overnight accommodation in Shrewsbury

If you’re planning on making a complete night of it in Shrewsbury or you have wedding guests that are traveling, there are plenty of options for overnight accommodation in the town of Shrewsbury itself, most of which are within a 5-10 min walk from where the Sabrina Boat docks.

The Shrewsbury Hotel Wetherspoon

This is probably as close to where the Sabrina docks as you can get. A 60-second walk. However, with it being a Wetherspoons it’s a very popular venue, which does mean if you plan on having an early night, perhaps the crowds might just keep you up.

The Carriage House Shrewsbury

A short walk up Hills Lane is classed as a holiday home with private parking. 2 bedrooms, wifi, 2 bathrooms with a bath or a shower make this a sensible family choice if you plan to make something more of your stay in Shrewsbury.

Premier Inn Shrewsbury

A faithful favourite. The beauty with a Premier Inn is you know what to expect. This one is a 10 min walk from where the Sabrina docks and putting it just on the edge of the centre of town means you don’t expect it to be to loud at night. It’s also a short walk from the train station, meaning you can easily leave the car at home should you choose to.

Can you get Married on the Sabrina?

The Sabrina Boat is not licensed for civil ceremonies or partnerships. But there are plenty of venues and churches nearby that can host your ceremony.
