Sabrina Boat - Shrewsbury Wedding - Charlotte and Tony

Imagine spending your wedding day on a boat?

Well, that’s exactly what Charlotte, Tony, and their close family and friends did. It was the Sabrina Boat, Shrewsbury to be precise, but more on that later….

But before we get into that, I want you to imagine that you’ve planned your wedding for months, to not only have your wedding guest numbers reduced once, but twice… weeks before the wedding. Charlotte and Tony had everything thrown against them but despite that, they managed to pull off such an incredible and unique day.

Morning Preparation started off at The Lion in Shrewsbury, in the Dickens Suite, Ironically Charles Dickens himself stayed in that very room many years prior. Although, it probably wasn’t named the Dickens Suite back then…. Or was it?!

Working alongside with Jayde Elizabeth (Bridal Hair by Jayde Elizabeth) it was an incredible chilled out morning. Helped along by 2 incredible bridesmaids who went out of their way all day to make sure Charlotte not only enjoyed herself but kept her nerve all morning.

From there it was off to the Incredible Shrewsbury Abbey and WOW, what an Abbey it is. The intimate wedding ceremony was simply perfect and it’s the spot where Tony’s Grandparents got married many years ago. I do love when a place carries meaning. A Special mention to Richard the vicar for carrying such an incredibly positive attitude on the day.

After the ceremony it was a drive around Shrewsbury to the sound of shouts and horns of congratulations. Stopping off at the quarry for some windy portraits. Fortunately, for the most part the rain held off, only giving a slight bit of drizzle. But it was smiles all round for Charlotte and Tony.

Then….

The boat!

I have to say, it was different, it was quirky, but fun… lots of fun! Run by some of the friendliest people you could ever meet the staff on board surely know how to look after all their guests.

With the ‘curfew’ in place, it meant we had to depart the boat by 10 pm, that did however mean we got to stroll back through Shrewsbury Town and grab some night time shop lit portraits to the sounds of many.. MANY… people cheering a huge congratulations to the couple.

My favourite part, I joked about it being fancy dress to which Tony blurted out… “Who would go dressed as the Photographer?!”

Ouch….

Solid Burn! Hehe.

Yeah, it was different (every wedding is), the numbers were small (not necessarily a bad thing), masks were worn, guidelines were adhered to, but it was super fun and a none stop kind of day. Charlotte and Tony were determined to get married regardless…

Nothing and I mean nothing stopped Charlotte and Tony smiling on their day

Isn’t that what it’s all about?

Anyway, here’s what you came for…
